L’Excale is right next to Place de la Victoire. Its unassuming on the outside, but the cool wooden interior lets you know that you’re in for something different.

While specialising in rum, L’Excale also has a fantastic range of whiskies and gins to go with its classic cocktails in a distinctly vintage Caribbean atmosphere.

‘Excale’ is stylishly decked out with a large wooden boat bar, and the mood lighting comes from vintage table lamps and chandeliers.

This is a great place to try something different than Bordeaux’s wine bars and English pubs.
