The Central Pub

French Bistro-Pub over Pont de Pierre

‘Ze Central’ is the only Franco-British pub in the Stalingrad Quarter, just on the other side of the river (or ‘Rive Droite’ as the locals call it).

The cozy feel and good food make it a great stop to recharge after your walk across Le Pont de Pierre .

It’s elegant take on the pub is attractive in itself, but it has a not-so-secret weapon that no other pub can boast in the city: the view.

Sure, some places have charming views over the Garonne and the Bordeaux riverfront, but this one is spectacular thanks to its location on the right bank of the river.

The view of Bordeaux from the Central Pub terrace is breathtaking at sunset!

Not only that, but the fact that it is located opposite the older, classic Bordeaux waterfront means that you get a panoramic view of this incredible architectural feat.

The building in itself is an architectural treasure, housed in the former Gare d’Orléans, now a UNESCO World Heritage listed building.

Couple all of this in with its Happy Hour between 6pm and 8pm, and suddenly it all becomes incredibly hard to refuse!
