The Frog & Rosbif

British Brew Pub & Restaurant
The Frog & Rosbif

Did you know that the French not so affectionately call the English “les rosbifs” (the “roast beefs”? This pub, however is a sweet homage to dear old Blighty.

The Frog & Rosbif was the first pub in Bordeaux to have its own micro-brewery, and they’ve been making award-winning craft beers ever since.

It has what must be the largest screen in the city for sports, rolled down from the roof and visible all around (unless you’re at the back, where there’s another one!).

They have a quiz on Mondays so you can test your brain!

The staff are happy to let the customers dictate the atmosphere, and they’re happy to talk to you about their beers!

LOCAL FACT: The building has a remarkable history, as it was previously a women’s prison, built in the 16th century!

Don’t worry: the only thing that’s in danger of keeping you imprisoned is The Frog & Rosbif’s selection of beers and burgers…
