The Dog & Duck Pub has everything you’d expect from an English pub; good beer, good music, pub games and a friendly convivial atmosphere.

“The Dog” is situated on the quays by the river. They make the most of their great location with a terrace out front which catches the sun until early evening. Like most terraces in the city, when the sun is out it fills up quickly!

If you don’t get a space, there’s no need to be disappointed, they have plenty to do inside!

The games room at the back has a pool table, a football table, a darts board and a weird Irish pub game with hooks (seriously, someone tell us what this is).

Don’t forget the sport! The Dog does its best to please all comers and put on whatever match the customers want, be it rugby, football, English, French, Spanish, etc.

LOCAL TIP: The owner Micky is quite a character and full of cringeworthy jokes. So feel free to wind him up if he’s behind the bar!
