The Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament
The Houses of Parliament is a family owned English pub in the historic centre between Place du Parlement and Rue Sainte Catherine.
Once the location of a 17th century paper mill, the vaulted arch ceiling and bare stone walls give it plenty of charm. It is one of Bordeaux’s oldest and very best pubs, entertaining the Bordelais public since 2003.
‘Le Houses’ is open daily until 2am and offers you something different every night. Themed nights such as the Ladies Night on Tuesdays, Open Mic Nights on Wednesdays and the famous Sunday Night Quiz are local favourites.
They are also a local hotspot for football, rugby and other major sporting events. For games involving the French national teams this place has a great atmosphere.
Check their website for Weekly Sports & Events.
In the last couple of years, the Houses of Parliament has looked to sell high-end products as well as firm favourites so that now there’s something for everyone, whether it be a British beer or single malt whisky.
Be sure to check out the other pubs (The HMS Victory and The Market Tavern) that the same family has created in the city, each one with its unique charm.
LOCAL TIP: The Houses gets wild after 11:00pm Thursday to Sunday!
