Moon Harbour Distillery

A whiskey distillery in the heart of a WWII submarine bunker

Wine and Bordeaux go hand in hand, but there are is a revolution on the horizon with Moon Harbour Distillery bringing the SavoirFaire to exceptional whisky right here in the South West of France.

The city of Bordeaux has a long history of merchant ships loaded with wine and local products ready to set off across the Atlantic ocean. These days, the the cobble stones of the Port de la Lune sees the first blended Bordeaux whiskey barrels waiting to be shipped around the world.

Moon Harbour isn’t just any old distillery, their head office and the distillery in which the whisky finishes to be aged is in a former bunker (Base Sous-Marine) blending the past and the present.

Their shop open Tuesday to Saturday (11am-1pm / 2pm-7pm) and they also run guided tours & tastings by appointment.
